Allright- I'm posting my original disclaimer, 'cause I know it may seem hard to believe that I actually feel this way from the stuff I've been churning out....:)

Ok, first my disclaimer, then the real one. I am one of those people who do NOT want to see Mulder and Scully jump into bed together, (though I wouldn't have any objection to them addressing some of the UST, or even a we're-under-some-alien-influence-so-it-doesn't-really-count encounter--see "Wolf"), but nevertheless it is fun to fantasize about things we know we'll never see....and i share mine here with you-so enjoy!

Rated R for sexual content.

There they were once again, late at night in the dark basement office, so absorbed in the files in front of them that they were unaware of the hour. They sat huddled behind the slide viewer, the artificial bluish light casting a ghostly air about them.

"So what do you think? Any thoughts?" Mulder asked his partner.

Scully's eyes passed once more over the slides in front of them "Yeah: What time is it?"

Mulder glanced at his watch and looked up, surprised. "After midnight."

Scully shifted in her seat and bent forward to give the files one final perusal. "All right. Well, let's choose one so we can finish up here; I'm beat."

Mulder nodded and his gaze followed Scully's down to the slides.

"Okay" he said, pointing to one of them. "This is the only one where we get any kind of view of the back of the apartment, I think we should go with this one...what about you?"

As she leaned in close to peer at the slide he pointed to, Mulder suddenly caught wind of her gentle scent; a pleasant, ethereal smell of skin and sweat through deodorant. He had noticed it before, but right there, late at night in the dark, cluttered basement office, it seemed to make his skin come alive. The sensation caused him to pull his eyes from the viewer and watch her face as she studied the slide. His eyes traced her profile. She was so close that he could see the muscles in her jaw move as she swallowed. His eyes followed her jaw-line to her neck, to the collar of her shirt where her skin disappeared under the smooth fabric.

Her voice snapped him out of the trance. "I don't know, maybe this one instead..."

As Mulder examined the other slide, Scully turned to watch him, the strong lines of his face cast in a stern expression as he considered the choices before him. He had been watching her again. She hated it when he did that; it thoroughly unnerved her-- an emotion Dana Scully was not at all used to, and one that Fox Mulder seemed to have uncanny expertise at bringing about in her.

"Yeah, either one. I'll take them down in the morning."

With that he turned to offer her a ride home, and was suddenly struck by the closeness of their bodies. His eyes met hers, and the air between them seemed to change, to grow thick and heavy. Mulder studied her face, waiting for her to turn away, but to his surprise she held his gaze, steady and warm, but filled with the same conflicting emotions that raced through him. Behind the apprehension and the fear, he saw something else: curiosity, affection- and a glimmer of excitement. Unable to pull away, they sat tethered in each other's gaze. Finally, slowly, they moved toward each other. Their lips touched lightly, an innocent, exploratory gesture. He pulled back and studied her, trying to decide how far to push it, then leaned in to kiss her again. This one was exactly as the last in form, but an inherent sensuality lay behind it. Scully allowed the kisses to last, then lowered her face.

What the hell was she doing?. The color burned in her cheeks.

Mulder tilted her head back towards his face with a single finger.

He attempted to kiss her again.

"Mulder..." she said, pulling back. Her eyes stayed focused on her lap.

"Aren't you curious, Scully?" he asked softly.

She brought herself to look at him, her face still hot with discomposure. "Curiosity is one thing, Mulder..." she didn't finish the thought. They looked at each other for a long time, then Scully lowered her face once more.

Mulder leaned in close to her, and waited for her to look back up at him. When she did, he brushed his lips slowly back and forth over hers. "Kiss me," he whispered to her. Feeling her mouth open to him in acceptance sent his head spinning violently. He slipped a hand behind her head and deepened the kiss. She responded with equal desire, and Mulder tentatively ran a hand down her front to her waist, lightly passing over her soft curves as he did. The simple fact that she was letting him touch her in this way was more of a turn-on than he ever could've imagined. But she exhaled sharply and pulled from him abruptly. Getting up and moving to her desk, she stood there with her back to him. "Mulder..." she started. She couldn't stop shaking. Bolt while you still can, she thought to herself as she reached for her purse.

Mulder got up, and her stomach lurched when she heard him set the lock in the office door. He moved to stand right behind her, leaning in until his breath was right at her ear. "Please stay" he whispered.

Her skin erupted in goose flesh.

"What are you afraid of Scully?" he continued, his breath soft against her neck. "I just want you to stay here and kiss me some more." Getting no response, he placed his hands on her hips, nuzzling into her hair at the ear. Then he slipped his hand around to her stomach, and the other pushed her hair away from her neck, where he deposited a delicate kiss just below her ear.

Her gasp brought a smile to his face and he moved his hands to the bottom of her blouse. Slowly, he pulled it from the skirt.

"Mulder, don't..." she started, though she made no attempt to stop him.

"Don't what?" he teased, his voice a whisper at her ear. "You mean this?" He moved both his hands to unfasten her top two buttons. He could hear her breathing grow quick and uneven, and it gave him great pleasure. He gently took hold of her wrists, and, bending her forward, placed her hands palm-down on the desk.

His hands started for the rest of the buttons of her blouse. When he was finished, he turned her around, sliding to his knees in front of her and resting his hands on her hips. Unfastening the button on her skirt, he opened it slightly and placed a kiss just below her navel.

Her knees started to give out, and she supported herself by bracing the desk.

Mulder rose back to his feet and sat her on the desk. He moved his hands to her collar bone, then slipped them under her now unbuttoned shirt. He slipped it off until it hung loosely off her shoulders. Taking hold of her upper arms, he took a step closer and looked into her eyes, those eyes that were wide and wondrous and full of questions. One of his hands moved to touch her face.

"I won't hurt you Scully," he said softly.

She saw in his eyes the genuine affection, and she reached up to tentatively brush her fingers along his cheekbone. Like a child seeing a lightning storm for the first time, she regarded him with both uncertainty and wonder. She caressed his bottom lip with a single finger.

He let her take her time examining him, testing the waters, as she moved her finger down his nose, back to his lip. Her eyes never leaving his, she unbuttoned his shirt; then ran a finger back and forth across his stomach where the skin met the top of his trousers. She leaned forward, beckoning him to kiss her. This time she accepted him freely, kissing him back with such a furor he felt instantly light-headed. He could no longer hold back his

desire, and it hit him suddenly that this was actually going to happen... Up until that point, in the heated passion of the moment, neither of them had considered how far they would take it- but there was no mistaking where this was going when he slipped his hands under her pleated skirt and started to lower her undergarment.

"Mulder," she breathed, "not here..."

"Right here. Right now..." he whispered back to her. He had wanted her so badly, for so long, that his body began to shake uncontrollably in anticipation of the actual moment; he didn't want to have to wait another second for her.

She caught her breath as he lay her back on the desk, carelessly casting the objects there to the floor. She reached for his belt as he positioned himself on top of her, and with mounting desire, they recklessly removed anything obstructing their way to each other. She gave herself to him like no other, though she had already given herself to him in so many ways. Emotion swelled in him and mixed with his desire, creating a passion like he'd never known. Soon, they were wedded in the extraordinary bliss of each other.

Afterwards, they lay together, breathing heavily, drenched with sweat, and completely exhausted.

Scully put a hand on her forehead. She stifled a smile and said, "Oh my God, Mulder... what did we just do?"

He didn't respond, instead he busied himself with distributing small kisses across her cheeks and down to her ear. He buried his face in her hair, inhaling deeply, savoring the sweet scent that was simply Dana Scully.

"God I can't get enough of you..." he nestled deeper into her neck.

She ran her hand through her hair. "I can't believe we just... right here..."

He pulled from her neck and looked down at her. "You're soft," he said with a boyish smile.

She smiled back at him and closed her eyes as he gently brushed his lips over her forehead.

"Mulder?"

"What?" came his muffled response as he continued to kiss her hairline.

"You're not paying attention."

"You have my total attention." He shifted position to kiss her neck.

She sighed heavily as she considered the thoughts in her mind.

He was making it virtually impossible for her to regret this. But the strange thing was--she didn't. Not one bit. She smiled demurely at him. "Well I'm sure you'll be very happy to know I'll never be able to work at this desk again without blushing."

"You make me happy."

They looked at each other for a minute, then Mulder leaned in to kiss her sweetly on the mouth. "Come home with me."

"You mean we're not going to spend the night here on the desk?" she teased.

"Whatever. Sleeping anywhere with you is better than sleeping on my futon alone."

Her face turned serious as she looked into his eyes... and saw there a fathomless devotion. And she was sure of one thing: being alone was something neither of them would ever have to worry about again.
